Otherwise known as a 'Bot'. Any program that can run without you being on the computer to gain gold or any other benefits illegitimately. They tend to run on an extremely precise moments that most people couldn't continuously do by themselves. I don't know the specifics, but they have logs that record the times and frequencies.

sad i didn't see it couple hours ago though, i could have used it but i will for my last stack

I don't have a 55hp set for char i want to use tonics on, but for those who can, try to get 1hp+vampiric weapon with 3 triple UA spammers heroes much faster & shorter : insta rez + die in 500ms is nice

(I suggest one's get inspired from my (optimized) Hero builds here)

Along with the double tonics uses tip (thanks for this one),
for other normal tonics (that can be used in outposts only) :

open your GH dialogbox and inventory (F9) and put your tonics vertically on 5 inventory slots
from now always map-travel to the GH next to slot you've just used tonics from

With that clickflow/workflow : it will make you feel a less repetitive task and most important it is much harder to misclick on GH you already are in

there are much more to spy on, hopefully for anet
and you are talking about basic design and implementation of a bot without any randomness
(and randomness of bots can be profiled too)

you can't assume anything about they are logging or not or when.

Another alternative I used that also worked with both Yuletide or Transmogrifier Tonics, that I used for Candy that removes DP. Go outside of Rata Sum with 3 Monk heroes with only Unyielding Aura in their Bars. Walk to the shrine, take off all your armor and health increasing weapons. Use a tonic and then keep spamming Blood is Power untill you die. Will usually only take a few uses and with the combined use of the 3 copies of Unyielding Aura there will always be 1 copy that is fully recharged to resurect you. I found this very fast to use Tonics and Death Penalty removing candy

Yes, used that already to use dp removal candies, though they generally sell for more than their title point values,
That's good to use some left overs that someone would consider as waste of time at trying to sell them.

edit: i wouldn;t do it, but its pretty easy to write a program that generates a random number for how long between clicks a mouse auto-clicker would click and would also have a random time that it takes breaks etc etc. its not hard at all. you just have to be smart

For a fairly quick way to use lots of normal tonics, try the following:

1) Go to Gate of torment

2) Use a tonic

3) port to Shadow nexus (no need to map travel)

4) Use a tonic

5) go back to step 1.

It saves a little time not having to map travel... if you can combine this with fast clicking you can use up a stack pretty fast. Good hunting.

Another alternative using this method would be the Dragon's Lair/Tomb of Primeval Kings in Prophecies.

Unlike what someone said, a macro is not the same as a bot. A bot would be a small program designed to mimic or control a character.
A macro is a series of pre-programmed keystrokes. Many gaming keyboards come with the ability to record macros, and there is software available that can also be used. (Some of the software that comes with mice can also do this.)
(I'm not too sure how well a macro can be used to automate tonic consumption.)

You are more likely to be banned when using a bot (such as a drunkard bot) then when simply using a macro.

however, there used to be potential for macros to get you banned. i did an experiment in hero battles where i linked my number 1 skill to all the hero's number 1 skill activation. i made sure that the lag between me pressing the skill and the hero activating it was about the same as to create a spike. .. kinda worked way too well.

however, this was just an experiemtn and i was going to actually use it in AT's or ladder play.

I was thinking the same thing.

As for using macros, I'd love to hear an official say on it. Gaming keyboards were mentioned, and most of them do have macro buttons, so who knows? (Logitech G19, for example..

So great).

You think THAT works too well? Try having something like the N52 Speedpad, using a Discord team, having discord on all #1 slots for heroes, disabling the skill on all 3 and then rigging it so that all 3 cast discord on the same target at the same time at your command anytime you want. 300dmg pve spike on demand LOL
